Short Circuits

Blasted through a circuit training today with our PDL team.  We had five stations with 5-10 guys at each station for eight minutes.  This tactic has been the best approach to working with 30+ guys.  In other news, our team was selected for the US Open Cup, which is  an open competition between all professional and amateur clubs in the US.  Pretty cool honor.  We will most likely host a pro team in two weeks time.

In the meantime, I need to consider what battles are most important.  Players arriving on time, having disciplined trainings sessions, intentionally taking time to stand with each guy…and the list goes on.  I’m enjoying interacting with other coaches, learning and practicing with them.

This fall I have committed to a life coaching academy that will be held in New Hampshire.  On the one hand, I am excited for the adventure and on the other hand I will be stretched.  I’m excited about the new learning and standing with people.  Other than that, I continue to progress on my book (finishing the first draft at the end of June).
